Brigitte & Rafal - A Tasmanian Glamour Wedding

Wedding season is well and truly here now and it's hard to believe it's nearly the end of the first month of Spring! Very excited for the start of Daylight Savings this weekend too.

Today, we have another beautiful Tasmanian wedding photographed by Lisa Kuilenburg. The couple, Brigitte and Rafal were married on 15 January 2011 at the Mount St Canice Church in Sandy Bay followed by a reception at Home Hill Winery in Ranelagh.

Brigitte tells us about their special day…

How They Met...

"Working together in the Casino Bar at the lovely Hobart establishment, Wrest Point Hotel Casino."

The Engagement...

"We were moving back to Hobart after living on the Gold Coast for 4 years when we decided to spend a few nights in the Hunter Valley. We stayed in an amazing boutique winery called Pokolbin Estate Vineyard. After 3 days of wine tastings, walks, a few hits of tennis and a lot of relaxing, Raf proposed."

"We had a beautiful breakfast overlooking the vineyard followed by a lovely walk amongst the wines. Raf then got down on one knee and proposed with my dream ring which he had chosen himself whilst in Dubai, without any help from me! Great taste. It was wonderful timing as we got to celebrate with all our family when we arrived in Hobart."

The Wedding Day...

The theme for the wedding was Classic Glamour, while incorporating some of Rafal's Polish traditions.

Music...

Processional Song - 'Pachelbel Canon in D'.

First Dance - 'The Way You Look Tonight' by Frank Sinatra.

Recessional Song - 'Starlight' by Muse (instrumental).

Wedding Vendors...

Band - Morning Glory

Bridesmaid Dresses - Angelina Faccenda

Cake Maker - Jean Pascal

Cinematographer - Joshua Lamont Films

Parish Priest - Father Terry Rush

Wedding Dress Designer - Maggie Sottero

Honeymoon...

Brigitte and Raf stayed at the Henry Jones Art Hotel in Hobart after the wedding, followed by a few nights at Piermont in Swansea for their 'mini-moon'.

Later on in the year, they enjoyed a month long trip to Paris, Croatia and Italy.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful wedding day, Brigitte and Rafal!
