I hope everyone in Southern Tasmania had a great Hobart Show Day yesterday! It seems like most people have taken today off as well so have a lovely four day weekend!! The weather has been amazing as of late and luckily I've managed to get to the beach a few times to enjoy it...Summer's getting closer!
Before the colder months are far behind us, I thought I would share this gorgeous Tasmanian Winter wedding with you all.
Jesse and Katrina got married on 11 June 2011 at the Christian Reformed Church of Launceston and held their reception at Cataract Bistro.
All the photos were taken by Lisa Kuilenburg of LisaK Photography who finally had her baby; a gorgeous little boy by the name of Leo Jack. Congratulations Lisa!
Katrina tells us all about her and Jesse's wonderful day...
How They Met...
"Jesse and I met at a birthday party for a mutual friend while I was in Launceston, visiting from Hobart and the next night we went bowling with another two friends. I moved to Launceston soon after and that was the beginning of a 5 year friendship! We were in the same friendship circle and enjoyed each other’s company every time we got together…then one day it blossomed very unexpectedly."
The Proposal...
"It was a long weekend and Jesse took me to Devonport to watch a movie (replicating our first date) but we came straight home afterwards because it was raining. That night, Jesse said 'goodnight' and left my house."
"Five minutes later he came back into my room, got down on one knee and asked! I later found out that he had knocked on the front door and was waiting outside on one knee waiting for me to open the door but I didn’t hear the knock so he just let himself in. Jesse is a very no-nonsense, do-things-quickly guy so his matter of fact proposal was very him, though not completely reflective of his very romantic nature!"

The Wedding Day...
"Jesse and I are a big fan of fairy lights, so we decked out the back wall behind the bridal party at the reception with fairy lights. We also had a very fun Photo Booth that Jesse made!"
